In midsummer choose a windy beach. If frequent in the afternoon, choose an oriented beach in the southwest direction (Maronti Beach in Barano), west (Citara Beach, Cava dell’Isola, Chiaia and San Francesco all Forio) and west – northwest (San Montano Beach in Lacco Ameno), because of these slopes blowing the breeze of the mistral.

In general all the beaches of Ischia are very crowded in August, less than in July; a bathroom “free from the crowds” is instead in principle possible up to the first half of June and early September. Those who hope to find a peaceful coast in August will be organized using the taxi boat to be transported in one of the island’s coasts are impossible to reach by land, however, where there are no stretches of sandy shore but only stones and rocks.
